Four out of the top six competitors at the Conquer The Castle 2022 Extreme Long Range (heavy class) competition used BipodeXt.

The Conquer The Castle 2022 shooting match was held on July 9-10, 2022, at the Greystone Castle Sporting Club in Mingus, TX.

Though the match is relatively new (this was its second year), it is already regarded as one of the USA’s most prestigious Extreme Long Range (ELR) matches. It is also a qualifying match for the most prestigious ELR game in the world: The King of 2 Miles.

Two factors have contributed to the meteoric adoption of the Conquer The Castle (“Castle”) match: the venue and its organizers. The Greystone Castle is a pristine 6,500-acre ranch located 100 miles West of Dallas, TX. Its facilities are second to none. The views are breathtaking. The Castle-like structure offers every amenity that even the most demanding visitors could expect. The organizers, Mr. Jay Monych and Mr. Robert Waggoner, are among the most respected members of the ELR community.

The Castle match is divided into two classes: Light Guns and Heavy Guns. In this release, we cover Heavy Guns. The game takes place over two days. The targets are located at the following distances (in yards):

Target 2

Target 3

Target 4

There is no typographical error here. The last target is just 120 yards shy of being at 2 miles! Could this even be? Yes, it is. This is indeed truly serious and impressive shooting. The top six finalists were:

In other words, two-thirds of the top six shooters competed with BipodeXt, including the winner, Mr. Joe Kaiser, and the taker of the second position, Mr. David Lindsay. At least eleven additional shooters competed with our products, for a total of at least fifteen shooters competing with BipodeXt.

A total of sixty-six shooters competed in the heavy class. A simple calculation tells us that 22.72% of the shooters competed with BipodeXt. Said more colloquially, more than one out of five shooters competed with BipodeXt.

“I sincerely believe that in the near future any ELR rifle not wearing a BipodeXt will be at a disadvantage.”
