The MSR Gen4 features one fixed tube (which we call the “base tube”)Â and one extending tube. When contracted, it measures 12.2 inches from its rear Plug to the bipod attachment point. When extended, the same points measure out to 22 inches.Â
It also features a single quick-detach mounting post with 2.75 inches of purchase.
