Understanding The Archimedes Lever

The BipodeXt that has been integrated into the Orca Chassis System was developed based on the principles of The Archimedes Lever. The BipodeXt stabilizer extends the fulcrum of your rifle to maximize your stability and minimize any unintended movements.

Using the lever/fulcrum axiom principle, the effect of force applied to one end of the lever directly translates to the effect of that force at the opposing end. The further out the bipod is placed the effect of movement at the toe of the rifle is drastically reduced at the muzzle.

I just finished a 300 PRC build with the Mako FAST Chassis. 5 rounds at 50 yds to zero. 5 rounds at 100yds to confirm. You are looking at the next 3 rounds at 200 yds.

FAQs

Do you make a chassis for my barreled action?

Very likely. As of this writing, we offer one hundred and seventy-eight (178) different chassis configurations, and more are added regularly.

What if I don't see a chassis for my particular action?

Chances are the chassis is already available but has not made it to our website, or it is being made. Please email your inquiry to help@accuracysolutions.com or call us at 714-988-7985.

I run a left-side bolt handle. Can I use your chassis?

Yes. Most of our chassis are ambidextrous and can be adjusted for both right—and left-side setups. They ship with a reversible bolt handle slot cover. However, a few chassis are designed solely for right-side bolts because the action manufacturer produces only right-side versions.

The chassis I want is showing as Available on Backorder. How long would it take?

Our typical fulfillment time is two to four weeks. It could take up to eight weeks on occasion, but this is not the norm.

What is the warranty?

Limited lifetime warranty on material and workmanship. If anything goes wrong, we will repair or replace the chassis free of charge.

This chassis is not for me. Now what?

Please return it within 30 days of the purchase date for a full and prompt refund. Your satisfaction is our primary goal.

Is the Micarta material strong enough for big bore guns?

Yes! That is where the Orca chassis shines. Many of our satisfied customers run with big calibers, such as .416 Barret, .460 Steyr, .50 BMG, and the like.

Is the BipodeXt technology integrated in the Orca and Mako chassis?

You have choices. When you go through the chassis configuration process, you will see these choices:

  1. Two (2) tubes
  2. One (1) tube
  3. Zero (0) tubes

We call the Zero (0) tubes version the F.A.S.T. Ready Chassis. It ships ready to receive the BipodeXt tubes, which you can purchase later.

How about barrels diameters?

All of our chassis are designed to accommodate straight barrels that have a diameter matching that of the action they are intended for. For example, if your action has a diameter of 1.6 inches, our barrel channel will fit a straight barrel that is also 1.6 inches in diameter. Many of our customers run with structured barrels.
