Four out of the top six competitors at the Conquer The Castle 2022 Extreme Long Range (heavy class) competition used BipodeXt.
The Conquer The Castle 2022 shooting match was held on July 9-10, 2022, at the Greystone Castle Sporting Club in Mingus, TX.
Though the match is relatively new (this was its second year), it is already regarded as one of the USA's most prestigious Extreme Long Range (ELR) matches. It is also a qualifying match for the most prestigious ELR game in the world: The King of 2 Miles.
Two factors have contributed to the meteoric adoption of the Conquer The Castle (“Castle”) match: the venue and its organizers. The Greystone Castle is a pristine 6,500-acre ranch located 100 miles West of Dallas, TX. Its facilities are second to none. The views are breathtaking. The Castle-like structure offers every amenity that even the most demanding visitors could expect. The organizers, Mr. Jay Monych and Mr. Robert Waggoner, are among the most respected members of the ELR community.
The Castle match is divided into two classes: Light Guns and Heavy Guns. In this release, we cover Heavy Guns. The game takes place over two days. The targets are located at the following distances (in yards):

There is no typographical error here. The last target is just 120 yards shy of being at 2 miles! Could this even be? Yes, it is. This is indeed truly serious and impressive shooting. The top six finalists were:

In other words, two-thirds of the top six shooters competed with BipodeXt, including the winner, Mr. Joe Kaiser, and the taker of the second position, Mr. David Lindsay. At least eleven additional shooters competed with our products, for a total of at least fifteen shooters competing with BipodeXt.
A total of sixty-six shooters competed in the heavy class. A simple calculation tells us that 22.72% of the shooters competed with BipodeXt. Said more colloquially, more than one out of five shooters competed with BipodeXt.
“I sincerely believe that in the near future any ELR rifle not wearing a BipodeXt will be at a disadvantage.”

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Shooting .22LRs at 547 Yards!? That can’t be! Well, it is.
A brief .22 LR caliber background may be in order for those unfamiliar with it. Google would tell us that the standard range of effectiveness of the .22 LR is 150 yards. And that is not just Google; most seasoned shooters will concur. Yet, master shooters are shooting the little bullets out to 547 yards! You read that right: these absolute champions are convincingly shooting .22 LRs at over three times the distance of its officially accepted effective range.
How do they achieve the seemingly impossible fit? They couple their vast experiences with the most advanced equipment and accessories available.
During the July 9/10, 2022 weekend, a competition known as Prince of .22 LR was held in Caylus, France. The two members of the winning team are shooter Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta and spotter Ramón Fitó. Ramón summed up the salient points of the competition in a Spanish-language Facebook post very nicely. Below is our translation of Mr. Fitó’s post.
TRANSLATED FROM MR. FITO’S FB POSTING
July 10, 2022
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, WE ARE THE PRINCE OF .22LR in Caylus
The Spanish duo formed by the shooter Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta and spotter Ramón Fitó win the PRINCE OF .22LR in Caylus (France), the discipline of shooting at extreme distances with the most radical .22LR firing platform in the world.
For their feat they have used a rimfire carbine manufactured in the Basque Country, it is the Bergara B14R Trainer Steel with a barrel length of only 18", fitted with a John F Huber trigger and mounted on a Rome Lorica chassis with ABR rear adjustment. The scope is a Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25x56 installed on a base of 20 MOAS together with a Tacomhq Charlie Tarac system, a good companion for those really long shots. The bipod extender is fundamental in this modality; it is a revolutionary telescopic system known as BipodeXt. The ammunition used in this competition has been the German RWS R-100 which thanks to its extra speed is perfect for the long-distance.
These have been two very intense days where the binomial Fontcuberta and Fitó have fought against the wind, first to qualify among more than 80 shooters and get a place in the final, shooting at targets (metal sheets of only 30cm x30cm) placed at 200m where 5 shots are fired and the rest at 240m, 280m, and 310m where 3 shots are fired at each distance. And then already in the Grand Final of the Prince Of .22LR where the size of the targets remains the same as 30cm x 30cm and 5 shots are fired per distance, starting to impact at 400m, following at 470m, and the last target located at 500 m where they have managed to impact four of the five shots made. Crowned as the Prince of .22LR of this 2022 edition.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_custom_heading text="Shop BipodeXt" font_container="tag:h3|text_align:left" use_theme_fonts="yes"]

PART 1
| (Picking up AS booth)The endless week started |
Friday, prior to SHOT week, as we scrambled to pick up our new booth. We had to learn how
to break it down, re-build it, package it, load it into our Product Manager's
pick-up truck, and determine how best to secure it so it wouldn't end up as an expensive highway decoration on the 5 freeway to Sin City. We debated if we
should weather proof the newly acquired 10 x 10 display, and begrudgingly
spent the 50 bucks on a tarp and a bucket of bungees, agreeing that
this would be the most professional solution. After an
eternity (30 minutes) in the parking lot, covering the precious cargo, the
votes were tallied and the unanimous decision landed the entire crew at a local
Taco Shop to fuel up for the trip. Here we experienced our first passing grade from the SHOT show gods. As we exited the Taco Shop, we noticed puddles of water, the smell of rain in the air, and the soaking wet tarp covering our prized investment. Chalk a small win up to the AS crew since the booth remained 100% free of any water damage!

The next 4 hours found the crew swapping lanes and listening to tunes as we crossed the desert into the great state of Nevada. We left our communist home in Santa Ana, California, behind, and welcomed the attack of the senses that is known as Las Vegas. Our arrival at the Luxor Hotel and Casino was greeted, during the wee hours of Saturday morning, by festive Friday night patrons still buzzing across and throughout Sin City’s beloved home of recreational gambling. Though the immediate temptation was received, the lack of rest won the crew over to an instant need for replenishment. We continued our journey with closed eyes and calm minds on the luscious creations known as hotel beds. Only a few hours into the future would find the AS crew at our first event of the weekend.

The morning, which came very quickly, found us moving at a rapid pace towards hot caffeinated beverages, and then immediately out into a brisk, but comfortable Vegas morning. Our first engagement for the week sent us back towards state line to rendezvous with our industry friends at a private shooting event in the Nevada desert. The unknown
destination was roughly 20 miles outside Vegas and apparently 50 degrees colder in the harsh winter winds! Despite the regret of a couple of our team members, due to their accompanied wardrobe selection, we met up with our friends from
Ritter & Stark, along with Charlie Melton and the Charlie Mike Precision crew. Brad Stair (inventor of the TEJAS cartridge) from Performance Guns joined us as well, along with friend Justin Pearson of Asymetric Firearms, and a few other patrons along for the shoot. The rifles quickly began to fly out of their travel cases and the shooters began
setting up to get their zeros at 100 yards.
| (The Buffet) |
The CMP boys came over to our Product Manager, Seth, shortly after to check out BipodeXt's new TAC models and Accu-Tac bipods! Seth brought a full selection of bipods, three TAC III’s, and a TAC II for the guys to try out on there heavy magnum rigs! It wasn’t long before Charlie Melton had a TAC III and one of the new HD-50 Accu-Tac bipods strapped to his Ritter and Stark SLX .338 LM. The Ritter and Stark shooters, who would be competing in the ELR World Record shoot the next day, hosted by our friend Eduardo Abril de
Fontcuberta (we will get to him shortly), both strapped TAC III’s and Accu-Tac’s to their R&S SLX .338 LM’s to try out as well!
After sending about 100 rounds downrange with
every caliber the SLX could be converted to (SLX is a switch barrel .308 Win,
.300 WM, and .338 LM) at the zero line, a group consisting of Nathan Grove
(R&S USA Sales Director), the two competitors shooting in the ELR event,
Justin , and Seth headed way back up the opposite mountains from the target to stretch the legs of the weapon systems just over 1 mile! The top notch marksmen from R&S had no problem landing their impacts right where their spotters Seth and Nate directed. All parties were exemplifying the true skill and fortitude required to work as a team and deliver precision fire from extreme long range! What an amazing day in the desert around some incredible shooters!

Our first year in production has been an amazing journey. We added new team members and forged new relationships with Industry friends and strengthened existing ones. 2018 looks to be even more exciting then 2017 and it will start with a long awaited trip to Shot Show in Las Vegas.
Our founder and managing member, Daniel Gyurec, along with our product manager, Seth Capps, will be making the trip out to Las Vegas a couple of days early. They will be meeting with our friend Dimetris from Primary Arms to try out our 2018 line which will debut the following week at Shot Show. We will have them on full display in the new product center at Shot Show as well as our booth #1360.
Jeremy Borlin, will be joining Daniel and Seth on Sunday to set up our booth which we are finalizing with the help of AES Marketing in Corona, CA. We purchased a Truss system that we are in the process of "beautifying" by adding paneling and displays to showcase our product. The end result should be spectacular and we hope attendees and other exhibitors appreciate it as well.
Our friends Huber Concepts and Accu-tac Bipods will be showing off their new gear as well as our new 2018 line. We will have their products in our booth to compliment our displays as well. Accu-Tac has a new product called the F-Class bipod which is great for competition and long range shooting. Huber is constantly expanding the compatibility of their 2 stage triggers to work in new types of rifles.
We will have special guest Charlie Melton, long distance shooting record holder and owner of Charlie Mike Precision (CMP), sharing his experiences with Accuracy Solutions. He will be answering questions about his time in the service and his long distance records. Later in the week Lew McCoy and Kacie Day, from the Rex Reviews Podcast, will be joining us to talk about their new line of training events that will be happening in 2018.
More exciting news for our friends who live abroad, we are close to offering Accuracy Solutions globally as we finalize our exporting protocols. We look forward to meeting friends from other countries at Shot Show to make our products available to shooters world wide.
I would like to offer special thanks to the Accuracy Extended readers and Accuracy Solutions customers. We really appreciate the support and feedback you have given us the past year. Thank You Very Much.
Congratulations to Charlie Melton and the CMP (Charlie Mike Precision) Team for shooting 5,000 yards.
The 5,000 yard Shot
We did it! The 5,000 yard shot out in Utah was a success! Thank you to everyone that helped out and all of your hard work.......If you have a friend that is into Long Range shooting, share this post and see if they can beat it?! Next we're working toward the 6,000 yard mark.

On September 30th the previous long range shooting mark of 4,604 yards was obliterated by ex-Navy Seal Sniper Instructor Charlie Melton. Him and his team set up for the shot in Utah and on the 3rd load test they were able to hit the target with the 7th shot, 37 shots total. Hitting a 40-inch target at 5,000 yards is the new record to beat.
Accuracy Solutions Home of Accuracy Solutions is working on a model that can withstand the rigors of a large and heavier gun similar to the one Charlie had the pleasure of shooting. We would be honored if Charlie will be able to use our product to shoot 6,000 yards, which he hints at being his next target distance.
