Introduction

I’ve been shooting precision rifles for a few decades now, and I’ve seen a few things come and go.

Many devices and technologies are introduced every year, and about the same amount are discarded from previous introductions. I was familiar with bipod extending and the stabilizers, though I wasn’t sure how valuable they were in practical use.

So when I was offered a chance to try the BipodeXt PRS Competition Pro Stabilizer from Accuracy Solutions, I figured it was worth my time to see once and for all if these things were worthwhile.

The BipodeXt stabilizer claims to greatly reduce the ‘wobble’ (my word) of the shooter and rifle while targeting a particular object.

It does this by extending the pivot point of the whole contraption further forward and thus widening the stance of the rifle and shooter combination. A simple physics analysis would likely prove that on paper it’s a great idea, but is the increased consistency enough to justify adding the apparatus to your rifle?

The BipodeXt is not a large piece of equipment, and adding it to your rifle can change more than just stability. With this premise, I decided to approach the project objectively to see if it was worth it for a shooter like me, a professional plinker of sorts.

BipodeXt PRS Competition Pro Stabilizer Review

OpticsPlanet (Check Price)

When the BipodeXt showed up at my house, I was quite excited to get it opened and inspected. The unboxing was actually pretty impressive for me, in just a few seconds I realized the quality of the manufacturing they maintain at Accuracy Solutions.

I lifted the stabilizer from its foam celled box. Initially, it seemed pretty light, considering its size. The stabilizer is built from multiple telescoping carbon fiber tubes that collapse into each other, each section of the tube secured by a clamp.

The largest tube serves as the base that mounts to your rifle, and it can be done by either connecting to a Picatinny rail or ARCA rail.

The stabilizer came with picatinny clamps installed already, but also included in the box were ARCA clamps. On the end piece of the telescoping tube there is a robust set of picatinny rails that you can use to attach a bipod and any other device you might need for way out there.

I was planning on running the BipodeXt on my Desert Tech SRS M2 which has a built-in ARCA lock rail along the bottom of the foregrip. So using an allen wrench I pulled the Picatinny rail clamps from the stabilizer and swapped them out for the ARCA clamps.

There were a few bipod options I could have used, but in the end, I chose to go with the Atlas 5H bipod. Since adding this device to my rifle would greatly reduce its mobility, I figured who cares if I use a big, heavy and stable bipod?

Adding the stabilizer and bipod to the rifle at a bare minimum would add a good deal of weight to the rifle, and that alone would probably help me shoot more consistently. All that was left was to get the gun in the field and see how stable it could become.

As I broke down the unit to mobilize, I was quickly confronted with one of what we’ll call a drawback. The SRS is a pretty compact rifle, but once you add the BipodeXt stabilizer, there is definitely an increase in mass.

This is obviously remedied quickly by flipping the clamps open and removing the stabilizer. That said, I imagine on a conventional rifle it would be even more awkward to try and maneuver the rifle without removing the stabilizer.

Either way, I don’t picture this to be for the guy who is moving around a lot, whereas if you are shooting from a static position and plan on doing it for a while, it seems like this could be a great asset.

First Impressions

I must admit that I was quite impressed with the quality of the product right from the start. Quality carbon tubes and the well-machined aluminum parts make this thing just a handsome piece of kit.

The double clamps to attach it to the rifle ensure even better stability without any flex added. The little bubble level mounted at the bottom of the stabilizer can be used to ensure your whole rifle is level, and it’s out there far enough to ensure you can see it without having to get out of position.

The bipod mounting foot at the end is also pretty genius, allowing either Picatinny to be used or it can be flipped over to install a bipod mounted with ARCA. The additional pic rail sections mounted on the tube can be used for other accessories. It had occurred to me it would be a good place to perhaps mount a chronograph bayonet.

Once I had everything loaded up, I headed into the snowy mountains above my home. My Desert Tech SRS was currently configured as a 338LM instead of the 6GT it had been shortly before. This was by design because I wanted to see how well it worked with a heavy recoiling cartridge.

Once in my shooting position, I was quite pleased with how easy it was to quickly install the stabilizer. I left my bipod folded and attached, which made it a simple package to collapse and stash in my shooting bag.

Once I started shooting, I could definitely feel a difference in how the rifle moved. As I expected, the additional weight was definitely keeping the rifle from jumping as much.

I shifted my position to look at a distant ridgeline, something towards the end of the Lapua’s effective range. As I lay there breathing, I focused hard on my reticle to see just how much it moved. Sure, as the snow is white, it sure seemed steady. Now all I needed to do was test the difference between the extended BipodeXt and without.

I decided I would try shooting a group in the distant dirt, and see how good a group I could shoot, and then swap out the stabilizer and repeat the process to see if I could tell the difference and, if so, how much.

I also installed the BipodeXt on another rifle just to see how it felt and interacted with that one as well. The rifle was a Savage 6.5Creedmoor in an MDT chassis, which also included a built-in ARCA rail along the bottom of the handguard, making the install a piece of cake.

There was a slight difference in the feel between the two rifles, but the overall impression was about the same. They were both a lot easier to maintain steady, and both were just a little bit more challenging to move around and shift shooting positions.

The longer stance of the rifle using the BipodeXt adds stability, but it also increases the radius needed to pan the rifle. This may or may not be a big deal depending on what you are shooting at.

Features

Quick Attach/Release

Perhaps one of the best functions of the stabilizer is the ability to quickly install or remove the product from your rifle.

Extension/Retraction

The high-quality clamps around the carbon tube make the stabilizer easy to extend or retract as needed. The BipodeXt can be extended fully or at reduced lengths depending on your shooting real estate.

Easy leveling

With either of the extension clamps, it is easy to level the rifle by letting the carbon tube rotate until level, and the added benefit of the bubble level makes it easy to do without getting back on the gun.

Stabilization

The stabilization of the rifle is the main purpose of the BipodeXt, and it does a fine job of adding stability to the rifle to a degree that can be measured.

Conclusion

After shooting with the BipodeXt, I was pretty impressed with how it aided in my static shooting.

Not only did it allow me to stay steadier on a distant target, but you could actually see it in your movements. Watching the reticle on my target, I would run the bolt to see how much the rifle would wobble as I ran it.

I could measure approximately 1-1.5 MRAD of movement around the target while running the bolt. And after installing the BipodeXt, I saw that amount cut in at least half, keeping me closer to my target. In this same way (but obviously at a smaller scale), the unit helps keep the rifle steadier while you target and press the trigger. The added weight is obviously another benefit for subduing the movement of the rifle.

The BipodeXt is very well made, and its quality components are quite apparent. It is not an inexpensive product, but I think the quality and finish are on par with the asking price.

The way I see it, this product is ideal for a particular group of shooters. Long-range shooting and particularly ELR shooters would greatly benefit from this impressive set of landing gear.

It strikes me as ideal for the kind of scenario where you shoot in a direction and don’t require a great deal of movement. The stability and sturdiness can greatly improve your shot placement and the ability to spot impacts.

Would you try a product like this in your ELR shooting? Let us know below.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]What's the moral of this story? Move your resting point forward and extend your accuracy.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the best solutions are the sum of agonizing problems mixed with bitter frustrations in life. The itching desire to consistently shoot accurately is no exception.

Here is how it all began:

My grandpa was a gunsmith, so I grew up liking and even loving firearms. I did my share of hunting and target shooting during my younger years. I'm the type of person who takes on a given topic and does it with a persistent intensity until I move on to something else. And then, I may stay away from that topic for years until something triggers in me that it's time to revisit the given subject or activity. I've done this sort of thing all my life.

Sometime in early 2016, after being away from shooting rifles for more than two decades, I went out shooting with my buddy. At the time, I was well into my late 50s. "Oh boy," was I in for a surprise! A man in his 30s is not the same as a man in his 50s! Not by any stretch of the imagination.

I could not keep the crosshairs steady; it did not matter how hard I tried. And we were not shooting that far out either. The targets were only about 140 yards out. At first, I was furious and thought the crosshairs were jumping all over the place without any rhythm or patterns. As my frustration faded, my curiosity rose. Upon closer observation, I realized that the crosshairs were not necessarily "jumping all over the place." Instead, they seem to trace an almost an eight-shaped figure, like this "8". It was getting interesting, so I decided to play around a bit and run some tests.

Taking deeper, slower breaths seemed to increase the overall size of the eight-shaped figure that the crosshairs were tracing over the target while increasing its width more than its height. Shallower and faster breathing seemed to decrease the overall size of the eight-shape figure while making it, relatively speaking, thinner (from left to right). And it all seemed repeatable.

I thought, "I am losing my mind; I am "seeing" things that may well not be there; I better take a walk and clear my head." Meanwhile, my buddy is yelling, "why ain't ya shooting?" "I'm trying to figure out something about my scope" was my white lie answer.

When I got back to the shooting lane, I decided to move things around. Though I was shooting prone earlier this time, I wanted to shoot flat but lower, with as much of my chest on the ground as possible. I thought, "well, maybe the more my body is grounded, the less I will move." Anything to conquer that diabolical crosshairs' dance!

To get as low as possible, I removed my bipod and rested the fore-end of my rifle on a shooting bag. Because I had a tapered fore-end, I put the shooting bag at the very end of it, right before the barrel, to get the rifle as low as possible (but I did not get my chest all the way on the ground because my neck discomfort reminded me how old my body is).

Nevertheless, voila! Suddenly the crosshairs were dancing a lot less than 20 minutes ago!

By now, my curiosity is going out at 100 miles an hour. "What on earth is going on here? My good-quality bipod is very sturdy. How can a mushy shooting bag be sturdier than my bipod?!" Scratching my head, buddy yelled, "are 'ya gonna shoot?" "In a minute. Let me figure this one out".

What changed here? What really changed? My attempt at getting my chest on the ground didn't get anywhere. If anything, I am in a more uncomfortable position now, yet I'm more stable. "Hmmm. Think Daniel, think." What changed? Well, before I took it out, my bipod was attached to an awkwardly located short Picatinny rail that was mounted closer to the magazine well than it needed to be. And that was the general location of the rifle where my resting point was placed. My resting point, though it was a mushy shooting bag, was almost 1 foot forward (at the end of my fore-end).

"Hmmm" and more "hmmm." "Let me place the shooting bag where the bipod used to be" (about one foot closer to me and further away from the muzzle. "Dang!" The dancing crosshairs are back!

We were wrapping things up, and my buddy went, "you hardly shot today."

So, again, what's the moral of this story? Move your resting point forward and extend your accuracy.

PART 1

Shot Show 2018 was a great, horrible, overwhelming, magical, and unforgettable experience. The Accuracy Solutions team had no doubt it would be, due to their tireless efforts and long hours invested over the past several months leading up to the show. The planning and execution were well placed thanks to acknowledgment in the form of our acceptance into "The Club," at the industries Holy Grail event.

THE JOURNEY BEGINS

Accuracy Solutions BipodeXt
(Picking up AS booth)The endless week started

Friday, prior to SHOT week, as we scrambled to pick up our new booth. We had to learn how
to break it down, re-build it, package it, load it into our Product Manager's
pick-up truck, and determine how best to secure it so  it wouldn't end up as an expensive highway decoration on the 5 freeway to Sin City. We debated if we
should weather proof the newly acquired 10 x 10 display, and begrudgingly
spent the 50 bucks on a tarp and a bucket of bungees, agreeing that
this would be the most professional solution. After an
eternity (30 minutes) in the parking lot, covering the precious cargo, the
votes were tallied and the unanimous decision landed the entire crew at a local
Taco Shop to fuel up for the trip. Here we experienced our first passing grade from the SHOT show gods. As we exited the Taco Shop, we noticed puddles of water, the smell of rain in the air, and the soaking wet tarp covering our prized investment. Chalk a small win up to the AS crew since the booth remained 100% free of any water damage!

(AS booth set up at SHOT Show 2018)

The next 4 hours found the crew swapping lanes and listening to tunes as we crossed the desert into the great state of Nevada. We left our communist home in Santa Ana, California, behind, and welcomed the attack of the senses that is known as Las Vegas. Our arrival at the Luxor Hotel and Casino was greeted, during the wee hours of Saturday morning, by festive Friday night patrons still buzzing across and throughout Sin City’s beloved home of  recreational gambling. Though the immediate temptation was received, the lack of rest won the crew over to an instant need for replenishment. We continued our journey with closed eyes and calm minds on the luscious creations known as hotel beds. Only a few hours into the future would find the AS crew at our first event of the weekend.

The morning, which came very quickly, found us moving at a rapid pace towards hot caffeinated beverages, and then immediately out into a brisk, but comfortable Vegas morning. Our first engagement for the week sent us back towards state line to rendezvous with our industry friends at a private shooting event in the Nevada desert. The unknown
destination was roughly 20 miles outside Vegas and apparently 50 degrees colder in the harsh winter winds! Despite the regret of a couple of our team members, due to their accompanied wardrobe selection, we met up with our friends from
Ritter & Stark, along with Charlie Melton and the Charlie Mike Precision crew. Brad Stair (inventor of the TEJAS cartridge) from Performance Guns joined us as well, along with friend Justin Pearson of Asymetric Firearms, and a few other patrons along for the shoot. The rifles quickly began to fly out of their travel cases and the shooters began
setting up to get their zeros at 100 yards.

Accu-Tac BipodeXt
(The Buffet)

The CMP boys came over to our Product Manager, Seth, shortly after to check out BipodeXt's new TAC models and Accu-Tac bipods! Seth brought a full selection of bipods, three TAC III’s, and a TAC II for the guys to try out on there heavy magnum rigs! It wasn’t long before Charlie Melton had a TAC III and one of the new HD-50 Accu-Tac bipods strapped to his Ritter and Stark SLX .338 LM. The Ritter and Stark shooters, who would be competing in the ELR World Record shoot the next day, hosted by our friend Eduardo Abril de
Fontcuberta (we will get to him shortly), both strapped TAC III’s and Accu-Tac’s to their R&S SLX .338 LM’s to try out as well!

After sending about 100 rounds downrange with
every caliber the SLX could be converted to (SLX is a switch barrel .308 Win,
.300 WM, and .338 LM) at the zero line, a group consisting of Nathan Grove
(R&S USA Sales Director), the two competitors shooting in the ELR event,
Justin , and Seth headed way back up the opposite mountains from the target to stretch the legs of the weapon systems just over 1 mile! The top notch marksmen from R&S had no problem landing their impacts right where their spotters Seth and Nate directed. All parties were exemplifying the true skill and fortitude required to work as a team and deliver precision fire from extreme long range! What an amazing day in the desert around some incredible shooters!

Our first year in production has been an amazing journey. We added new team members and forged new relationships with Industry friends and strengthened existing ones. 2018 looks to be even more exciting then 2017 and it will start with a long awaited trip to Shot Show in Las Vegas.

Our founder and managing member, Daniel Gyurec, along with our product manager, Seth Capps, will be making the trip out to Las Vegas a couple of days early. They will be meeting with our friend Dimetris from Primary Arms to try out our 2018 line which will debut the following week at Shot Show. We will have them on full display in the new product center at Shot Show as well as our booth #1360.

Jeremy Borlin, will be joining Daniel and Seth on Sunday to set up our booth which we are finalizing with the help of AES Marketing in Corona, CA. We purchased a Truss system that we are in the process of "beautifying" by adding paneling and displays to showcase our product. The end result should be spectacular and we hope attendees and other exhibitors appreciate it as well.

Our friends Huber Concepts and Accu-tac Bipods will be showing off their new gear as well as our new 2018 line. We will have their products in our booth to compliment our displays as well. Accu-Tac has a new product called the F-Class bipod which is great for competition and long range shooting. Huber is constantly expanding the compatibility of their 2 stage triggers to work in new types of rifles.

We will have special guest Charlie Melton, long distance shooting record holder and owner of Charlie Mike Precision (CMP), sharing his experiences with Accuracy Solutions. He will be answering questions about his time in the service and his long distance records. Later in the week Lew McCoy and Kacie Day, from the Rex Reviews Podcast, will be joining us to talk about their new line of training events that will be happening in 2018.

More exciting news for our friends who live abroad, we are close to offering Accuracy Solutions globally as we finalize our exporting protocols. We look forward to meeting friends from other countries at Shot Show to make our products available to shooters world wide.

I would like to offer special thanks to the Accuracy Extended readers and Accuracy Solutions customers. We really appreciate the support and feedback you have given us the past year. Thank You Very Much.

The Snake Gun equipped with Accuracy Solutions

My first statement holds. After using Accuracy Solutions in competition and supplying selected students with it I can’t speak highly enough of it. You can see me using it in competition below. The day was as filled with challenges as it could be. I was using new ammo, a new BDC scope, a .223Rem in high wind conditions and transitioning targets under time pressure.

This round (Stage 7) I’m shooting from just over 200 yards to 500 yards using the BDC reticle on the Primary Arms 4-14×44 FFP scope with their brilliant ACSS HUD/DMR reticle on his Mossberg MVP with the BXT 40X3 model Accuracy Solutions from Accuracy Solutions. The BipodExt bipod extender pulled every bit of wiggle out of my holds. It was like shooting from a machine rest. The thing didn’t slow me down either. Transitions between targets were just as fast as without it. My best .223 score at that match was a 22 of 50 in mild wind. My best score with the .223 in strong winds was 15 of 50 until this match. I scored 20 of 50 this time with strong winds up to 30mph. I attribute this score to the combination of stability from the BipodExt and the integrated wind hold-offs in the reticle on the Primary Arms 4-14x optic I was using. The 5 shots I picked up over my previous record could be split up 80/20 for accounting purposes favoring the Accuracy Solutions as the causal factor. How can you tell?

You’ll notice that I’m calling my own shots throughout Stage 7. Part of that is the low recoil of a .223 but I’m calling those shots at close and far targets with a .223. Far is no big deal for the most part since you have time to recover from recoil. Close means recoil cannot have affected you enough to pull the target out of the scope view during recoil. Kinda rare even with a .223 unless recoil control is really given more weight than it normally deserves. The long lever length provided by the Accuracy Solutions gets rid of muzzle rise even if you fail to load the bipod like you otherwise might.

Stage 5 above has me perched a little higher than is optimal due to the way the ground lays but that didn’t add any instability because my rifle was being rested so far from me, any wiggle I put in is not as effective at pulling the rifle off target. It takes quite a bit more input force to move the rifle around a sufficient distance. In a conventionally placed bipod arrangement the effective attachment point or fulcrum is about 20 inches from the shoulder and about 10-20 inches behind the muzzle toward the action. With the Accuracy Solutions you can have an effective fulcrum 30-50 inches from your shoulder and up to several inches in front of the muzzle. What’s that matter?

TiborasaurusRex getting his giddy on behind the Accuracy Solutions

Well it’s a little like the effect of altitude over the target for a long range shot. If you’re 100 feet above the target at a distance of 100 feet then the angle is 45 degrees. If you’re 100 feet above your target at a distance of 1000 feet then the angle is about 5.7 degrees. MASSIVE DIFFERENCE. What the inventors have created is a way to get that effective distance to grow without making the weapon system unwieldy.

Stage 6 you can see something that I’m normally very bad at being done really excellently, follow-through. I’m staying on the optic and keeping that trigger back much better than normal. I attribute that to the sensation I got of watching a show on TV instead of through a magnified optic. The great glass in the Primary Arms optic helped but the stability from the bipod extender getting rid of all the jitter also got rid of my bloody near instinctive habit of slapping the trigger and coming off the scope too damned soon. It seems the jitter doesn’t play well with my brain and I am prone to taking subconscious steps to deal with that which are exactly counter productive. Add Accuracy Solutions and I turn into a really sparkly good shooter with much improved execution on the fundamentals.

Former SEAL Charlie Melton wringing out the Accuracy Solutions.

So what about the extra bulk and weight and all that. Well, my rifle still fits in my drag bag and there’s no extra weight to speak of thanks to carbon fibre and aluminum construction. It’s quick detachable so the idea that that’s something to legitimately gripe about is laughable. The cost is pretty tall but you have to come to grips with the fact that good kit costs good money. Sorry, no freebies in this world.

I am Meccastreisand victory over barricade stages.

What I didn’t cover at all above is the amazing versatility of the Accuracy Solutions. Turn that forward section 90deg and brace your bipod against a window opening or a barricade or a fence post for PRS and similar action shooting matches. Put a long and short bipod on it if you want for rough country hunting to go from prone to kneeling to sitting to whatever rapidly. For police and military and those few that hunt mountain goats and sheep and such where extremely high angle shots are frequently the only shots to be had, you can stand up comfortably behind your rifle, set the bipod up in front of your muzzle and keep your spout out of the dirt, be ridiculously stable (tried this with great results), minimize fatigue and increase first round hit probability. For cops on top of skyscrapers and in the rafters at sporting events overwatching us with their sniper rifles stuck in tripods and hog saddles, they could be just as precise and more flexible and have an easier time concealing their position if they didn’t have to be so high up to use a tripod. Lower fatigue means improved interdiction and lower chance of collateral casualties or damage.

RX17 Live Fire 002 Student taking advantage of increased stability.

Any way you can get your bipod farther from your face will increase your ability to be stable and make precision shots rapidly. Yes you’ll lose some compactness and decimal points of speed/agility. Isn’t the decimal point loss in agility worth the orders of magnitude increase in endurance and precision? I think so. I won’t shoot a match without a Accuracy Solutions again if I can possibly help it.

For a direct comparison, here’s the same gun, same shooter, same range just without the BDC scope and without the Accuracy Solutions. In the beginning at stage 7 you’ll be able to see the side to side and vertical wiggle at my muzzle during firing and the much more dramatic appearing recoil and me missing more than I should be despite having massively more magnification (16x fixed instead of the 10x I was actually using on the Primary Arms 4-14x) and dialing precise DOPE instead of holding off. If I’d used the 16x SWFA optic along with the Accuracy Solutions I probably would have picked up a few more targets.

The difference made by the Accuracy Solutions at my last match was probably me picking up 3-5 targets I would have certainly missed regardless of the optic and because I was using a BDC at long range it was probably responsible for me not blowing that completely. The BDC was easy to use but very sensitive to cant and user error. It was really easy to avoid those two conditions with the bipod extender. Thanks to Accuracy Solutions for the loan of this amazing kit. I’ll have to buy one now, not so much because they’re excellent but because of the two I have for use by students, I’m never giving one of them back.

Dan, Seth and company. You guys really knocked this out of the park. I knew when I saw it at RX17 that it was going to really change my game and I think it’s going to change a lot of games. Keep these badass ideas coming!

The 5,000 yard Shot
We did it! The 5,000 yard shot out in Utah was a success! Thank you to everyone that helped out and all of your hard work.......If you have a friend that is into Long Range shooting, share this post and see if they can beat it?! Next we're working toward the 6,000 yard mark.

On September 30th the previous long range shooting mark of 4,604 yards was obliterated by ex-Navy Seal Sniper Instructor Charlie Melton. Him and his team set up for the shot in Utah and on the 3rd load test they were able to hit the target with the 7th shot, 37 shots total. Hitting a 40-inch target at 5,000 yards is the new record to beat.

An essential rundown of the setup Charlie Melton used for this world record long range shot looks like this:

Accuracy Solutions Home of Accuracy Solutions is working on a model that can withstand the rigors of a large and heavier gun similar to the one Charlie had the pleasure of shooting. We would be honored if Charlie will be able to use our product to shoot 6,000 yards, which he hints at being his next target distance.

Showlow AZ - Charlie Mike Precision conducted a Long Range precision course during the week leading up to September 1st, where founders Charlie Melton and Phillip Hotzen II instructed they're students on the 7 principles of marksmanship and trained on the application of those skills during live fire exercises at extreme distances. CMP students were alsoafforded the chance to test out some exciting next generation gear.

(left to right) Phillip Hotzen II, Charlie Melton, Guy Loughridge

CMP student Guy Loughridge appreciated Charlie's instruction and commented on his time in the course saying it is, "absolutely the best". Guy joined the 1000 yard club with the help of his spotter, Charlie Melton, using his 6.5mm Creedmoor rifle and factory PRIME ammunition. During the course of fire, Phillip Hotzen II laid down behind a prototype 6mm Creedmoor rifle and was able to achieve hits on Guy’s 1000 yd target with such ease, he was able to achieve impacts in the head region of a silhouette steel target. He was also equipped with a brand new stability platform called Accuracy Solutions by Accuracy Solutions.

Apparently, the new 1000 yard club members of the CMP course were not satisfied with their achievements and proceeded to extend the distance of their attempted shots to 1500 yards, only 260 yards shy of 1 mile! Guy commented after successfully making hits at the new range equipped with  Accuracy Solutions, "Whatever I could do at 750 was just as easy at 1500."

Charlie Melton's qualifications stem from a 25 year career as a US Navy Seal. Besides the awards and accolades including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Sailor of the Quarter, and Sailor of the year for all Seal Teams, he also served as the leading Chief Petty Officer of the coveted SEAL Sniper School. Charlie had an impressive tenure at this position instructing successful warriors such as Marcus Luttrell, Matt Axelson, and the deadliest US Sniper to date, Chris Kyle (American Sniper).
Charlie was asked if he had anything to add to Guys experience with Accuracy Solutions and replied,"This thing is incredible! I'm going to start using this on all my long range stuff."
Phillip mentioned, that Accuracy Solutions is awesome! It keeps you very steady.
CMP first came in contact with Accuracy Solutions at Rex Review's RX17 002 Long Range Precision Rifle Seminar held in Grapevine TX. while testing Huber Concepts Staged Break Trigger system, Charlie got behind a rifle equipped with Accuracy Solutions model BXT 40X3. He admired its stability and was certain it would be a key component to improve on his current long range precision shooting as his personal practice has been reaching distances up to and beyond two miles.

Charlie Mike Precision

Charlie Mike Precision is owned and run by Charlie Melton and Phillip Hotzen II. Phillip and Charlie met in July 2015, quickly forming a friendship. A week after mentioning to Charlie his goal of a 1000 yard shooting range, they built it. That is when Charlie began teaching him long range, as well as pistol and carbine. Following the Axelson Tactical grand opening, they received a lot of inquiries about long range training, and decided to open Charlie Mike Precision.

Accurracy Solutions

Accuracy Solutions mission is to create high quality precision products for the firearms industry.  We are the home of Accuracy Solutions, which extends the resting point of a bipod to increase stability and accuracy for rifle shooters everywhere.  Shooters are achieving Accuracy Extended.

Corona, CA: Accuracy Solutions, from Accuracy Solutions, is proud to announce August 21st as its release date. The bipod extender gives shooters the stability of a tripod with the versatility of a bipod in a lightweight, compact design. It is compatible with most rifle/bipod configurations including Atlas and harris-bipod.

Accuracy Solutions uses the principles of a lever/fulcrum to create a steady front support for almost any rifle/bipod configuration. By extending the resting point of a bipod to the muzzle of a rifle and beyond, without interfering with barrel harmonics, greatly increases the stability potential of any rifle system.

Harris-bipodRifle shooters have been moving the resting point of a bipod further and further forward with the popularity of tactical style rifles and their ability to accept barrel guards with picatinny rails that extend attachment points of bipods close to the muzzle. With Accuracy Solutions this advantage can now be gained on rifles that do not accept barrel guards with a rail attached to the forend. Also hunting style rifles can accept Accuracy Solutions with the advent of a tilted picatinny, which comes included, which levels the tapered forend of the stock to become perpendicular to the barrel.

Accuracy Solutions in CaseThe telescoping assembly of Accuracy Solutions allows it to collapse into a compact piece of kit that is easily stored in a backpack or rifle case. It's carbon fiber design allows a light weight rigid design that can be carried anywhere and tough enough to withstand deployment in a multitude of firing scenarios. Since the tubing is round, with a flip of a lever you can correct any cant discrepancies that the installed bubble level proposes.

Other features include the ability to have two bipods attached at once because the Accuracy Solutions comes equipped with a sling stud and picatinny rail attachment point at the front of the unit. This is very advantages for competition shooters since the ability to toggle between a bipod with a short stance and taller one, in seconds, by rotating the tube, will assist in staying steady in a wider range of shooting positions. The tubing is retractable which allows customizable front rest configurations that can be changed rapidly with a flip of a lever.

Accuracy Solutions has been reviewed by Rex Reviews with high praises. Rex stated, "This thing is incredibly helpful. It really really helps. Not even exaggerating it makes it twice as good or three times as easy maybe more, it’s hard to quantify this but I will certainly tell you it makes it way easier to stay steady.” To view his video review click here.

NRA certified instructor Matt Parente commented, “Set up is easy; it took all of 2 minutes to have it all together. The stability was phenomenal! There is no movement out side of what i wanted it to do. I could not believe how steady it looked and felt. …the cross hairs did not even come off the target, this was especially true when I had it fully extended.”

More reviewers are lined up to test military applications including multiple sniper teams and active duty personnel in Afghanistan. We look forward to increasing accuracy and stability for armed forces and civilians globally.
