The Archimedes lever behind BipodeXt
Think of your rifle as a lever. Small unintended movement at the rear (the โshort endโ) creates a much larger effect at the muzzle (the โlong endโ). BipodeXt reduces that effect by moving the support point forward โ closer to the muzzle โ so the same input movement produces less angular error.
This is simple geometry: the farther forward the support, the smaller the cone of fire for the same movement. Thatโs why BipodeXt feels like it โcalmsโ the sight picture, especially at distance.
BipodeXt uses the Lever/Fulcrum axiom but, to say it colloquially, it uses it the other way around.ย BipodeXt takes the Moment of Force (the shooterโs unintended movements) at the short end of the proverbial Lever and moves the Fulcrum further into the long end of the Lever (read: closer to the muzzle).
The result is that the shooterโs unintended movements down along the long end of the Lever are reduced. For our purposes, the โlong end of the Leverโย is that imaginary line going through the center of the barrel to the intended target.
