We are not supposed to discuss other companies here, but credit is due where credit is due. We know of at least one American stock manufacturer that has been making stocks from Micarta since 2016. That company’s success has been nothing short of spectacular. A large number of top competitive shooters have already switched to Micarta stocks, and more continue to make the switch every day. There must be a reason for that level of success.
It is a bit difficult to describe the benefits of this material because, at first, the explanation sounds counterintuitive.
Micarta is significantly lighter than aluminum, by about 20%, yet it manages recoil much more effectively. It is a “dead” material with practically no resonance or vibration. The result is less felt recoil and more manageable recoil, while weighing about 20% less than aluminum. That is the counterintuitive part.
We believe our company is the first to offer chassis made from Micarta. These are not traditional stocks, but full-featured chassis with all of the benefits that come with a true chassis system. And we are not merely offering “a chassis.” We are offering an Orca of a chassis.
