One Chassis. Multiple 10/22 Receiver Interfaces.

Our Piranha chassis for the Ruger 10/22 has a key feature you might not notice at first glance: a modular rear receiver interface. Right out of the box, it can take three different receivers:

• Ruger 10/22 Standard
• Ruger 10/22 Competition
• KIDD Designs tang -fitted receivers

Using our patent-pending modular tang-receiving concept, we designed the Ruger 10/22 Piranha chassis to accommodate different receivers rather than force each into individual chassis.

The box includes all parts needed for the extremely easy (under two minutes) conversions.

The original Ruger 10/22 Standard architecture secures the action primarily with a single action screw near the front of the receiver. As the 10/22 platform evolved into a serious precision-rimfire platform, receiver and stock manufacturers developed ways to secure the rear of the action more positively as well. KIDD first introduced its rear-tang system, and Ruger later incorporated a second bedding lug into its 10/22 Competition receiver. Our Piranha ships ready for any of these receiver types.

Our Piranha chassis for the Ruger 10/22 guns are ambidextrous.

Pistol Grip Fore & Aft adjustability. Our AR-15-style pistol grip has a (patent-pending) 1-inch fore-and-aft adjustability range. You adjust it via an external, easily accessible set screw. No disassembly is required. Adjustment takes under one minute.

Scope bases and night vision mounts (NVMs). We developed a line of scope bases and NVMs specifically for the Piranha/Ruger builds. They range from 0 MOA to 100 MOA in 25 MOA increments. You can see the scope bases here and the NVMs here.

Every Ruger 10/22 Piranha chassis includes three Receiver Interface modules in the box:

• Ruger Standard — for the traditional Ruger 10/22 receiver configuration and other receivers using the same general interface. Because these receivers lack a dedicated rear action lug, our Classic Tang includes a nylon-tipped adjustment screw that applies controlled pressure against the receiver, helping keep the action firmly positioned in the chassis from shot to shot.
• Ruger Competition — designed for the rear bedding interface of the Ruger 10/22 Competition receiver.
• KIDD Designs — designed for KIDD receivers equipped with the KIDD rear tang.

The significance goes well beyond those three names.

The Ruger 10/22 has become the foundation for an enormous aftermarket receiver ecosystem. Some manufacturers stay very close to the traditional Ruger receiver geometry. Others add rear tangs, extra bedding points, integral scope rails, alternate charging systems, or other changes while staying within the same broad 10/22 receiver class.

Instead of building a different Piranha chassis around every variation, we made the receiver interface replaceable.

When a receiver uses one of the interfaces supported by the Piranha chassis, you can install the appropriate Interface Module while the main FR4 thermoset laminate chassis remains the same. That gives the Piranha the potential to accommodate a very broad range of Ruger 10/22-class receivers without you having to start over with another chassis.

Our Ruger 10/22 Piranha chassis are ambidextrous.

We are evaluating that compatibility receiver by receiver. We will identify additional receivers as compatible only when we have sufficient dimensional or physical-fit evidence to support the claim. But the architecture was designed from the beginning with this much larger receiver ecosystem in mind.

• Monolithic Chassis/BipodeXt: The proprietary fore-end that houses our renowned telescoping carbon fiber tubes, using BipodeXt technology, and the action sitting area are now a single piece.
• Rear 2.1 and Rear 2.1 PRO Buttstocks. Toolless buttstock adjustments include:

• Length of pull: 13.5" to 15.5"
• Buttpad vertical elevation: 4.2" of adjustment
• Rear bag rider elevation: 1" of adjustment
• Cheekpiece elevation: 2" of adjustment
• Cheekpiece fore and aft adjustment: 2"
• Modular cheekpiece system. Cheekpieces are available in:
  • 0.8" height, ships standard

• Modular bag rider feet system. Feet are available in:
  • 5" length, ships standard
  • 6" length, with the extra 1" length installed fore or aft
  • 5" tilted, with tilt installed fore or aft — 180 MOA
  • Feet replacement requires a 5/32" hex key, which is included in the box.
